The Black Album by Metallica was their biggest mainstream release and the second Metallica album that I created after Master of Puppets. The only art on this album is a shadow of a logo and the Don’t tread on me snake at the bottom of the album. Since this is a dark brooding album I decided to embroider an abstract spiral in black yard. The yarn adds a texture and depth to the black background.
