I remember buying this when I was a kid and it was the coolest album ever! It wasn’t for the music, which was also great but because of the album design itself. Since the album was titled, "School's Out," the album was designed to look like an old fashioned school desk with carvings, scratches and marks, but that’s not the best part. The album opened up to reveal the inside of the desk and the back of the album folded out with legs, so the album essentially turned into a three dimensional desk. This was an amazing concept for 1972. As far as embroidering the album, I used multiple layers of wool thread in varying stitch lengths and then abraded the thread for a distressed look which went really well with the vintage albums. The logo was created as a patch and mounted at the end.
