The Buffalo nickel (Indian Head nickel) was minted from 1913 - 1938. Artist and Farmhaus + Co. founder, Owen Mortensen, uses this coin as a design medium to create an original art piece, rooted in the ethos of the West. Each coin is colored with natural pigments to accentuate the bison/Indian head depicted.
